What do you think when you hear the words “Fine Art”.
For me, I think of a beautiful art piece that is printed, framed or hung up to evoke an emotion from a viewer. Fine art pieces for years have been displayed in museums, art galleries and in the very affluent homes. Honestly I picture the people back in the early 1800 and 1900s with their gowns, large castle like mansions and gold champagne flutes who are flocked by 20 foot paintings from major artists like Monet or Van Gogh.
But what if I could tell you, you could have your very own Fine Art in your home, for you to see and enjoy everyday?
That is what my Fine Art Sessions are all about.
I like to think of these sessions as “Creating Magic” sessions.
In our everyday life, we need to seek and find the magic. We are in control on how to see the magic, not that magic just shows up whenever. If you seek, you will find.
That is what a Fine Art session is at its heart. Finding and capturing the Magic in your life. Now the type of images we get from that, can range from simple, to very dramatic, to the far stretches of our imaginations. You get the choose how you want this session to go. You get to choose what you would like to have as your final product. And then YOU get to enjoy the fine art piece in your home.
A Fine art session focuses more on an idea or feeling during a certain time in your life, versus capturing multiple concepts in one session. This way we can cultivate and create different aspects in that session, instead of trying to throw everything into one.
What I love about the Fine Art sessions is the PRODUCTS you get to choose from. From a Fine Art Folio Box, to a beautiful framed Fine Art Print or Gallery wrap, to an heirloom album, there is just so many options to have your magical photos in a form that lasts 100+ years. What is the point of creating such art when you just keep it on something you need electricity to view it?
How do you dream of being photographed? What story do you want to tell about your life right now? My goal is to capture who you are, right now, to preserve as a part of your legacy. What do you want those photos to look like? How do you want this time to be remembered in the future?
Here are some words from a recent Fine Art Session client.
"My daughter has danced for most of her childhood and this, of all years(2020-21), is her Senior Year. Her final year of dance at the studio we call our second home. We wanted a way to commemorate the art and the time that has been so instrumental in shaping her. This year, with all its loss, could not be how we say goodbye. We looked for a way to to truly capture the beauty of this time.
Carrie has photographed other dancers at our studio and we have always been in awe of her stunning work. We knew she could help us document the very essence of what we wanted to capture.
She did that.... as you can see from Ally’s images.... but she did so much more!!! Watching her work, for more than four hours, with my daughter was an experience in itself. She put Ally at ease.... she encouraged her to simply do her thing, dance... and she did the rest. We are still in awe of our photographs and are so thrilled that they will help us remember some of the good times. The best of times. The beauty that is dance, and the art that has given our family so much joy. Carrie captured that moment in time and we are forever grateful"
