Class of 2020 Senior Portraits - Khloe Rothenberger

When you think of large tractors, farming equipment and a semi trucks, your first image probably doesn’t go to an 17 year old High School Senior does it?  

Mine didn’t either.

Then I met Khloe Rothenberger.

When discussing her session at their design consultation, it was brought up that we wanted to do the images at a farm that Khloe works on in Concord, Michigan.  The one reason why I love using locations for seniors is because I get to bring their everyday life into their senior memories. If you had told me I could have taken my senior pictures on a basketball court and at my parents property(two of my favorite things in high school), I would have been so pumped! Being able to capture my entire high school legacy in my senior session would have been so memorable.  This is why I find it so important to include these in my seniors sessions.

We had a great time at Khloe’s session from moving tractors around, photographing her with her amazing truck, and then ending at her grandparents property to get some beautiful images by the river!  Her favorite part was getting some great images with her truck(and it was one of mine!!). She is a beautiful young lady with an amazing work ethic and I know she will go far in this life!

Khloe is headed off to get her construction management degree and is working for her family’s construction company right now.

Because of the COVID-19 crisis going on and the cancellation of schools for the year my heart goes out to all my seniors. Khloe said her favorite moment was going to be graduation and prom to end off her senior year.  My heart goes out to these seniors but one thing I do know is how amazingly resilient and strong they are so they will get through this!

Khloe’s advice for upcoming juniors: Have fun! Don’t take everything so serious. You are only in high school once.  I look back at my 18 year old self, and I know this advice would have been very helpful at times.  

I love getting my seniors answers to these, b/c some of them are AMAZING!

If Khloe could have a super power, it would be Mind Reading!  As much as I wish I knew what my kids were thinking all day, or when they are mad at me, I’m not sure I want to hear it! 

If Khloe had a spirit animal, it would be chipmunk because no one hunts them!  This makes me giggle!
