Carrie obtained a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Albion College in 2006 and then proceeded to recieve all of her techincal training in photography at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Even though she received some of the best education in photography in the United States, she continues to learn and educate herself everyday. Carrie is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Michigan, and is the Current President of Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers Association in Lansing, MI. In 2010 Carrie became a Certified Professional Photographer, one of only 75 in the state of Michigan. In 2016 she was awarded her Master of Photography Degree from PPA. Carrie's work has won awards in the International Photographic Competition for the last 6 years. Carrie received Platinum Photographer in 2015 with 3 of her images being past Senior Clients. In 2016 and 2014 her images were selected to represent the United States in the World Photographic Cup in the Commercial Photography Category. In 2014 her image won 3rd place in the Grand Imaging Awards(Image on Left), chosen out of thousands of submissions. Her images have also been published in Professional Photographers magazine in Jan 2013 and Feb 2014, as well as have been featured on Senior Style Guides website. In 2013 Carrie was the only Jackson, Michigan photographer named to Senior Style Guides Hot 100 and had 2 of her seniors images published in their Hot 100 issue.
Carrie attends numerous seminars and conventions every year to learn from the industries top working professionals and educators. In addition to attending seminars, she is also taught at Professional Photographers of Michigan, Mid Michigan Professional Photographers, as well as seminars at Jackson College and Albion College.
